We Know Tucson was founded by Expert Tucson Real Estate Agent Chris Smith.

A Tucson resident since 1972, Chris Smith joined the U.S. Navy in 1990 and proudly served his country for four years.

During his enlistment, he earned numerous medals that included the Joint Meritorious Unit Commendation, Navy Unit Commendation, National Defense Service Medal, Southwest Asia Service Medal (2 bronze stars), and Kuwait Liberation Medal. He served on the USS Midway during operation Desert Storm in 1991 and operation Fiery Vigil in the evacuation of Clark Air Force Base after the explosion of Mt. Pinatubo in the Philippines.

After he was honorably discharged in 1994, Chris headed to college, and in 1997, earned his Bachelors of Science degree in Elementary Education at Northern Arizona University.

His start in the real estate industry began when he and his business partner founded Tucson and Scottsdale Golf Vacations in 2000. Over the years, as their golf vacation business flourished, Chris would be approached by his golf clients about buying homes in the Greater Tucson area, and by 2004, he had founded Mountain Vista Real Estate & Vacation Rentals.

The latter company was acquired by nationally renowned vacation brokerage Vacasa in December of 2017, and Tucson and Scottsdale Golf Vacations is still thriving to this day.

There isn’t a real estate transaction that Chris hasn’t handled in his 15-plus year career. Whether it’s selling your home, buying a home, real estate investing, 1031 Exchanges, or short-term vacation rentals, Chris has helped hundreds of clients with every step of the process.
